A dramatic video shows a fire tender traversing through waterlogged street almost half-submerged in water in western India's Maharashtra.

The incident took place on the inundated streets between Zaveri Bazaar to Kalbadevi in Mumbai on August 5.

According to reports, heavy rain lashed the state that triggered wall collapses, cave-ins, and uprooting of trees.

The video shows a car traversing through the inundated street while several people and vehicles can be seen in the vicinity half-submerged in water.

Several vehicles can be seen stranded in the waterlogged street while the commuters wade through the knee-deep water.

Incessant rainfall has halted the entire city with most shops closed down and blocking all vehicular conveyance.

Wall collapses were reported from nine locations in the city and 339 trees were uprooted.

Mumbai Police has advised Mumbaikars to stay at home because of the inclement weather.
