JP: Tropical Depression Hagupit Brings Heavy Rain To Northern Hokkaido

In northern Hokkaido, tropical depression Hagupit that was downgraded from a typhoon brought heavy rain, it caused river flooding, landslides, and fallen trees on August 7 morning. Evacuation orders have been issued in some areas.

The Meteorological Agency said, 135mm of rainfall was recorded in Rishiri Island between 9 pm and 12 pm on August 6th, it was record-breaking torrential rain in 50 years.
