Deadly cobra rescued from 35-foot-deep well in India using a steel bucket
A deadly cobra was rescued from 35-foot-deep well using a steel bucket on July 30 in western India.
The cobra was rescued after residents of Ratadgav near Ahmednagar spotted the reptile and alerted the Animal Rescue Society.
Akash Jadhav and his team went to the village and found that the cobra could be easily reached as the water was about 35-feet below the surface. They lowered a steel bucket into the well and dangled it before the snake hoping that it would get in.
After several attempts, the team managed to pull the cobra up, put it in a snake bag and released it later in the wild.
Akash said: “We assured the villagers that the water was safe to drink. Cobras inject poison only when they bite someone.”
