Amazing footage shows a mother potter wasp building a pod for her offspring.

Insect enthusiast Kevin Boudreau found the skillful wasp while cleaning his yard in Quebec, Canada.

He said: "I always keep an eye out for insects when I am doing outdoor work. I found this on top of a pool filter."

He added that the wasp leaves and comes back with mud which it molds into a tiny ball.

Potter wasps make nests that resemble ceramic jugs or pots. They usually build these in small containers like twigs, branches, or trunk of trees.
