Protesters set barricades on fire during anti-government protest in Beirut
Thousands of protesters gathered in Beirut’s Martyr’s Square Saturday, August 8, to demand justice over the huge explosion that ripped through the capital and killed more than 150 people on August 4.
Some protesters tried to break through a barrier to the parliament building and clashed with riot police who deployed tear gas at them. Hundreds were injured in the clash according to reports.
