Beirut protesters call for fall of government
Thousands of protesters gathered in Beirut’s Martyr’s Square Saturday, August 8, to demand justice over the huge explosion that ripped through the capital and killed more than 150 people on August 4.
At the square, protesters set up makeshift nooses to hang effigies of politicians whom they blame for the explosion.
Protesters later clashed with security forces and dozens were injured.
