A young man from Thirumangalam of Madurai district in Tamilnadu got stuck down a 70-foot well when hunting doves.

Muthukalai lost his job as a mason due to the COVID-19 pandemic and resorted to hunting the local dove population to feed himself.

He used a rope to lower himself into the well when searching for the bird then suddenly the rope gave way and he found himself stuck in the hole.

Muthukalai sustained multiple injuries including fractures.

Locals heard his cries and called local rescue teams from the fire department, who rescued him.

Muthukalai a mason was living in thirumangalam of Madurai district in Tamilnadu. Due to the lockdown he has no work or wages. So he was hunting doves in the nearby areas and sold it. Likewise Muthukalai tied a rope to him and went inside the 70 feet deep well in search for the dove. Suddenly the rope was cut and he fell inside the well that has no steps.
He got fractures and was hurt in many places in his body. Unbearable to the pain he was screaming for help. People near the place saw his condition and called the fire and the rescue department officials. Officials rushed the spot and he was rescued safely after one hour struggle.
