Many staged a protest outside the Belarusian Embassy in London after citizens living in the UK were not permitted entry to vote in the election.

Footage from August 9 shows a crowd outside the building on Kensington Gardens chanting in Belarusian "we have a vote!"

The filmer explained: "People gathered at the Belarusian embassy in London in order to vote in the Belarusian elections.

"However, the embassy only let a few people in, so many were left waiting in queue for hours, with no chance to vote.

"A petition was started on the street to extend the closing hours to 10 pm, up from 8 pm.

"A crowd formed from the queue at around 7 pm, shouting 'We have a voice!'

"The Russian word for 'voice' can also mean 'vote'.
