A man narrowly escaped being crushed by a truck after jumping off his scooter in eastern China.

The terrifying moment, shot in the city of Jinhua in Zhejiang Province on August 11, shows a speeding truck smashing into a scooter and running it over after turning a corner.

A man was seen jumping off the scooter quickly, narrowly avoiding being crushed by the truck.

According to reports, a scooter rider named Chen saw a truck suddenly speed towards him when he was crossing a road illegally.

Chen jumped off his scooter to save himself but his scooter was torn apart.

The case is in further investigation.

8月11日清晨，浙江省金华市磐安县新渥街道百央村路口发生了惊魂一幕。一辆大型货车与一辆电动车发生碰撞。生死关头，电动车驾驶员急中生智，跳下电动车，成功逃过一劫。
8月11日凌晨5时许，磐安交警大队接到报警称，一辆大型货车和一辆电动车发生碰撞，所幸两名驾驶员均无受伤。
值班民警迅速前往事故现场，只见路口散落着被撞的电瓶车骨架，运载石头的大型货车则侧翻在路面的一旁，车上运载的石头洒落在地。事发时该路段没有其他车辆，未造成其他损失。
经了解，事发时，货车驾驶员费某驾车沿永磐线行至百央村村口路段时，陈某驾驶电动车正准备横穿公路。陈某到达十字路口时，大货车突然从右侧快速驶出，陈某本想停车避让，没想到大货车突然往左驶来，眼看疾驶的货车马上就要撞了上来，情急之中，怀着求生本能的陈某双手离把，纵身跳下电动车。“轰隆”一声，伴随着浓浓白烟，电动车被碾压的散了架。虽然陈某逃过一劫，但也被吓得冷汗直淌，哆嗦不已。
