Massive 12-feet-long python rescued by forest department officials in northern India

A five-member team of forest department official have rescued a 12-feet-long python from a paddy field in northern India's Uttarakhand.

The incident took place in a paddy field at Balawala village on the outskirts of Dehradun on August 11.

According to reports, the locals spotted the reptile and dialled 108 to alert the forest department officials.

The video shows the forest officials rescuing the enormous python using ropes and a snake catcher stick.

One person held the serpent by its tail while the other people secured it using the rope.

A team lead by Ravi Joshi, including Sardar Singh, Sohan Singh and Madan Lal from the Raipur range along with Jitendra Bisht from Headquarter assisted in the rescue.

Later, the snake was released on the same day in Ramgarh range at Rajaji forest.
