Large python caught after raiding livestock farm in Thailand
A 13ft long python was captured after rampaging into a livestock farm with rabbits, ducks, chicken, and fighting cocks.
Reptile handlers arrived at the farm that is also a learning centre in Pathum Thani, central Thailand to catch the huge python after staff called for help on August 10.
Farmer Paiboon Jampayos, 45, said he was shocked while feeding animals when a huge great python appeared on the beam.
He later called the rescuers to grab the snake out. He said: "I found the serpent while I was doing my daily work in the morning. I was shocked and afraid that it would kill my animals in the enclosure."
Paiboon said he had hung a net around the place to prevent the wild serpent from coming out. He added: "Luckily there was no animal that was eaten by the python."
The snake was later taken down by the volunteer. They stretched it out to measure the length before taking it into the big sack.
Paiboon said: "In the past two months, some of the poultry disappeared without any clue. I believed that the snake might have been killing the animals in the farm."
The Head rescuer said residents should be more aware of the reptiles rampaging into their properties during this rainy season.
The python was later released back into the jungle far from houses.
