Torrential rains lashed ooty and its surrounding areas for the past couple of days in Ooty district in Tamilnadu hence the soil was loose. Even some places witnessed landslide too. A five year old female bear that was searching food in between the big boulders of rocks in the tea estate of Kothagiri. Suddenly its front paw struck under the rocks and it can’t able to release itself. Workers of the tea estates just heard the cries and informed the forest department officials. Forest staffs came to the spot but they can’t able to rescue the bear. Hence special task force was called. But it was too late. The bear was breathing its last when the special task force came. They immediately took the bear out and gave the medical attention. But unfortunately the bear died.
