This is the moment some locals from the Cuddalore district of Tamilnadu state in India freed a stray dog which had been wandering around with a plastic tub stuck on its head.

The animal had reportedly become trapped three days earlier when it attempted to eat something in the container but then couldn't remove its head.

With the dog clearly at risk of starvation, a kindhearted local decided to help.

He and a friend chased the animal for ten minutes before eventually catching it and tearing the plastic tub from its head.

Although their method looks a little rough, the dog was unharmed and ran around wagging its tail immediately afterwards.

The footage was filmed today (August 16th).

A street dog in Cuddalore district of Tamilnadu was roaming in search of food. Suddenly it sniffed the smell of dry fish that was coming from the nearby by plastic jar that was thrown in trash. Then it saw the plastic jar, it tried to eat the things that was on the jar but unfortunately its head got struck on the jar. It was roaming with the jar on its head for three days without eating anything. An animal activist while on his way to home found this dog and tried catch it so that he can remove the jar from its head . But the scared dog ran away. With a chase for nearly ten minutes he finally got the dog and with the help of another person he removed the plastic jar from its head. Atleast the dog was freed from the three day struggle
