Flash flooding in northern Vietnam's Dien Bien Phu left a school and many houses in ruins.

Footage from August 17 shows rapid floodwater surrounding several structures as locals look on helplessly.

A nearby bridge was also washed away leaving three villages isolated. Locals have said this is the worst flood they have ever seen.

Fortunately, the students were on vacation.

Video captured the moment of the terrible flash floods destroyed a school and many houses in Dien Bien Province, Viet Nam.
According to eyewitnesses, they were indoors and heard sounds coming from the top of the mountain. They saw a terrible flood of water flowing down and quickly moved out of the house.
The water rushed down the village and washed away everything. The school at the top of the village was quickly surrounded by floodwaters. Floodwaters are everywhere, and people can only move in time and cannot carry their belongings.
According to local people, this is the most terrible flash flood they have ever seen in this area.
