Protests in Belarus continue with demonstrators marching up to Minsk Detention Centre No. 1, thousands of people marched 5km to Okrestina.

The clip filmed on August 17 shows the protesters shouting, “let them out! Let them out!”.

Minsk journalist, Pavel Vanouvich told Newsflare: "The entire street, all the way to Independence Square was filled with people. Reports of beatings and torture, include the alleged sexual assault of both male and female prisoners with batons, have disgusted and incensed Belarusians, many of whom have taken to the streets in protest.

"After this protest outside Minsk Detention Centre No. 1, thousands of people marched 5km to Okrestina, a Minsk prison whose name is now synonymous with the alleged brutality and sadism of the guards and armed police," he continued.
