A mother and her two daughters in Padang, Indonesia, provide food and treatment for stray cats around a marketplace.

Salmiati and her daughters look after the cats they find hanging around a local market, offering them food and treating them.

The mother said that they do this to teach her children to love animals and continue to help the animals that people often throw away.

Aurel, one of the girls, said: "I really enjoyed rescuing cats with mum, and I was very happy."

This is Salmiati who is accompanied by her two daughters named Aurel and Khaira when they want to provide food and treatment for cats that are in one of the markets in Padang City on August 18, 2020.

salmiati and her two kittens around all corners of the bandar market looking for cats in the area to be fed, give vitamins and treat sore cat eyes.

salmiati said "this action was done to teach her two children to love animals and continue to help the animals that people often throw away.Her action with her children is carried out every afternoon in markets and in landfills which are often used as cat dumps" .

aurel said "I really enjoyed doing cat rescue with mom, and I was very happy"
