Footage of the three masts visible at all states of tide of the controversial and world famous submerged shipwreck SS Richard Montgomery lying in the Thames Estuary, 1.5 miles north of Sheerness in Kent, UK. Footage taken at low tide on 18 August.

It will be the 76th anniversary of the ship running aground on a sandbank and sinking on 20 August 2020. The WWII American liberty ship sank on 20 August 1944, with 1,400 tons of munitions still onboard.

The UK Government are planning on having the masts removed next year, to reduce strain on the rest of the vessel which is now deteriorating, although some believe this could cause a blast similar to the one in Beirut.
