A motorist attached a children's rocking chair to the front of their car to block the licence plate as he tried to avoid being caught by the traffic enforcement camera.

The video, filmed in the city of Shanghai on August 1, shows a motorist grabbing a children's rocking chair from the roadside and hanging it to the front of his car before driving away.

In another clip, the children's rocking chair was seen left in the middle of a road and a police officer went to take it away.

Police summoned the motorist named Liu to the station for investigation.

Liu finally admitted that he meant to block his licence plate to avoid being caught by the traffic enforcement camera.

Police fined him and deducted the points from his licence.

接报市民爆料后，民警赶到现场，将儿童摇摇椅移至路边，而查阅视频回放，民警发现，这把儿童摇摇椅居然是被一辆黑色机动车一路从蒲淞北路顶着来到了路中央，而经过进一步调查，民警又有了新的发现。
长宁公安分局北新泾派出所民警 林翔：原来是这辆黑色的机动车停在马路边上，停在马路边上之后，他为了要躲避电子警察的执法，长时间将后备箱打开，然后再通过将马路边上的儿童摇摇椅放在车辆车牌前侧的这么一个方式，来躲避我们电子警察的执法。
民警随即将车主刘某传唤至派出所，对于自己遮挡号牌的行为，刘某百般狡辩。
长宁公安分局北新泾派出所民警 林翔：他一开始还是矢口否认的，但是根据我们视频回放还原整个事情的经过以及现场的走访，发现这个儿童摇摇椅根本就不是他的，是他随手从马路边上取过来的儿童摇摇椅作为工具，他就遮挡在了车辆号牌的前侧，以此来躲避电子警察的执法，那我们根据这样一个情况，对他进行了处罚200元，以及直接一次性计12分的处罚。视频由上海台提供
