A compilation of videos showing the anti-government protests that have been taking place over the last two months in Bangkok, Thailand.

The democracy movement has seen several rallies in the centre of the Thai capital - including one that used a Harry Potter theme.

Since then, the rallies have spread to university campuses and most recently, high school students have joined in. On August 19 hundreds of teenagers converged on country's Ministry of Education amid anger that teachers are stifling political expression.

While the rallies - backed by progressive groups and disaffected opposition - have spread among students and young people they have yet to make an impact on the country's military government.

The party, lead by career soldier Prayut Chan-o-cha, seized power with a military coup in 2014 followed by controversial elections in 2019 which lead to the surging liberal opposition party, Future Forward lead by Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit, being disbanded amid spurious charges.

Critics have accused the Thai government on strong-arm tactics to silence opposition with arrests and mysterious disappearances.

However, the Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha has pointed to evidence that the rallies are being whipped up on social media by fake 'bot' accounts operated by those aiming to destabilise the country.

Protest leaders said that more demonstrations are planned in the coming weeks.
