Shocking footage shows an electric tricycle driven by two children losing control and ramming into a car wash garage.

Dennis Cruz, one of the owners of the garage, said the young boy and girl were playing with the e-bike when one of them accidentally started its engine.

He said: "Their mother ran along with the bike trying to stop it until they entered our garage.''

The children's mother tried to stop it but it was too late as they had already accelerated into the opposite side of the street in Pasig City, the Philippines on July 29.

The car wash worker and the mother were able to stop the bike on time before it can smash into the concrete wall.

Dennis added: "That is why we need to supervise our children all the time. They are lucky because there is no car driving that time or else something awful may have happened."

The children were taken home by their guardians after they apologised to the shop employees because of the mishap.
