The soldiers of Azad Hind Fauj played an important role in liberating the country. The soldiers of the Azad Hind Fauj, who got freedom for the country, did not back down even after being thirsty and killed them by liberating the country. Phula Devi, widow of freedom fighter late Mani Ram of village Narad in Kaithal district, said that her husband, freedom fighter late Mani Ram was born on 6 June 1921 and enlisted in the British Army on 6 August 1941 at the age of only 20 After that, Gandhi Brigade joined Singapore in 1942 ,After that, after listening to the fiery speech of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, he got a feeling of independence of the country and he joined the Azad Hind Fauj on 2 July 1943. The leader used to come after three months and used to give impetus to him by giving patriotic speeches. He was caught fighting freedom and was kept in prison in Singapore and Rangoon. There they were kept hungry and thirsty due to which many soldiers became seriously ill. Long after the independence of the country, when Mani Ram returned home, he was not even recognized by the people.
