In a narrow escape, a man barely managed to evade a major accident after a part of the roof collapsed inside his shop in eastern India's Jharkhand.

The incident took place at Maa Kali Store in Sunder Nagar of Jamshedpur on July 28.

The CCTV footage shows the shop owner, Priyanshu Maity, sitting on a chair inside the shop.

Further, he notices a few pieces of debris fall apart from the roof right above him.

Immediately, he gets up from the chair and moves to safety.

Following this, a significantly large part of the roof slab comes crumbling down at the spot where he was sitting.

Maity then stares down at the debris collected on the ground while breathing a sigh of relief for the narrow escape.
