A team of forest officials have rescued two pythons during separate rescue operations in northern India’s Uttarakhand.

The first snake was rescued from Kunwarpur in Nainital on August 24 by Haldwani’s Forest Quick Response Team. A video following the rescue operation shows the snake wrapped up in a piece of cloth. The rescuer makes use of a snake catcher to tease it out of its hiding place before laying it down for the spectators to see.

A second snake was subsequently rescued from the neighboring area of Daulatpur, after about an hour of rescuing the first one. The video shows the rescuer extricating the snake from the middle of a cropland. Villagers can be seen fascinated by its size.

Both the snakes were later released into Chorgalia forest. Visuals show both the snakes being released into the wild one after the one. A third snake that was rescued by the same team earlier was also released with the pair.
