Twin Cities Metro Transit Buses Fill Nicollet Avenue After Curfew in Minneapolis
On Thursday, August 27, shortly after a citywide curfew took effect, Metro Transit buses could be seen driving their route on Nicollet Avenue. Residents walking nearby had expected transit service to stop when curfew began but buses appeared to increase at that time.
Riots broke out in Minneapolis on Wednesday, August 26th after a man shot and killed himself downtown. Soon after looting began downtown a curfew was put in place and the National Guard was called in. The curfew continued on Thursday night.
