US: Portland Commemoration March 57 Years After Martin Luther King Jr.’s Speech

Hundreds of people gathered to attend a march to protest police violence against people of color on Friday, August 28, 2020, 57 years after Martin Luther King Jr. led the March on Washington on August 28, 1963.

It was on that march that King made the famous "I Have a Dream" speech, where thousands of people defended the civilian and economic rights of blacks. As part of this commemoration, the Portland branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) hosted.
