Journalist hit by teargas continues filming at #EndFemicide protest
Journalist Wesley Fester, while covering the #EndFemicide protest outside South Africa's parliament, is hit by teargas and continues filming.
The protest was to demand greater intervention by the South African government to address the issue of germicide and gender based violence in South Africa. Police repelled the protesters with the use of rubber bullets, teargas and rubber bullets.
The protest trended on social media under the #EndFemicide hashtag.
