Delray Beach, a South Florida tourist town, is experimenting with open air dining to draw more visitors to downtown restaurants and shops. The city's Downtown Development Authority placed tents and tables six feet apart in a public square and invited diners to order their meals to go at downtown restaurants and eat them at the new site. Organizers said the Distanced Dining in the Park program, which was supposed to last for one week, has been so popular they're extending it for at least another week.
