Japan: Typhoon Maysak Approaches Okinawa With Strong Winds And High Waves

Powerful Typhoon Maysak (No. 9) is approaching the Okinawa region of Japan with strong winds and heavy rain. The Japan Meteorological Agency has warned that Maysak could cause major disaster to the region.

Over 33,000 homes lost power in Okinawa. Some schools and public sectors are closed, and 180 flights to and from the region are canceled.

A video posted on social media shows the typhoon storm is causing high waves.
