The climate activist group Extinction Rebellion have continued their protests in London with a recent instalment of escapades blocking traffic close to Tottenham Court Road station.

The footage from September 4 shows the heavy police presence as protesters sit on the main road, as dozens of buses and other traffic stay at a standstill.

The filmer told Newsflare: "There were only about five of them sat on the floor protesting, the rest were more spectating.

"One guy had a ‘save the monkeys’ sign."

They later said claimed that they were "ruining everyone’s day" and "wasting police time."
