The footage filmed today, (August 5) was their 5th day of ten protests which were taking place around the globe by Extinction Rebellion to highlight their cause.

Four days ago, a few activists climbed high into the trees and made camp. Today, over a dozen police were guarding the tree, to prevent Extinction Rebellion activists who have been camped high in the trees in Parliament Square for 4 days from being fed, hoping hunger will bring them down. Earlier today,

There are between three and five Extinction Rebellion activists who have built a camp, high in the trees within the Square. The protesters wanted to give them food, as well as moral support during these colder nights they will be experiencing here in London.
Some, possibly friends or fellow activists managed to throw up a bottle of water, and someone else took off his own boxer pants and threw to one of the activists in the tree for a fresh change of clothing. Then when a pack of biscuit was thrown up, that's when the police decided to move in and tell them, "it s against the law to throw things" and anyone that did "will be arrested" if they continued.

This is their 3rd night in the trees to highlight global warming, the environment, animal welfare among many other causes.

18 days later UPDATE: The police are no longer policing the activists in the tree, and have allowed me to give them food and water.
