The events in this video take place in the South China Sea off the coast of Macau. Usually fish are indifferent to their offspring, but I was able to observe a completely opposite behavior. The male fish guards the entrance to the cave, where the female fish with caviar is located. The male bravely drives away all small predatory fish from the nest. The female sometimes looks out of the nest to make sure that the nest is well guarded. The male sometimes swims into the nest himself to make sure that everything is in order with the offspring and immediately returns to his post.
