Residents of Fort Collins, Colorado woke up to some snow Tuesday morning, September 8, after Cameron Peak Fire rapidly grew over the Labor Day weekend with the record-breaking heat.

It was unusually early but much-needed snowfall as the wildfire keeps burning across the state.

The snowfall is expected to limit the fire's spread and continue through Wednesday afternoon.
