The National Weather Service issued Air Quality Alert on Monday, September 7 as a smoky haze caused by the Cameron Peak Fire hovered over Western Colorado.

According to the NWS, smoke from the wildfire resulted in fine particulate concentrations reaching the Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups category Monday afternoon and evening for much of the northern Front Range region, including Denver, Boulder, Longmont, Ft.Collins and Greeley.
