Hospital staff celebrate COVID-19 patient’s birthday in northern India
Healthcare workers celebrated a COVID-19 patient’s birthday after his recovery in a hospital in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh on September 7.
It was celebrated in Meerut’s Anand Hospital at Garh road.
According to reports, the man had tested positive for the deadly virus on his birthday and was not able to celebrate it since he was admitted to the hospital.
Sensing his disappointment, healthcare workers waited till he was completely free of the virus and then celebrated his new lease of life with a small celebration.
Visuals show hospital staff in personal protective equipment (PPE) kits gathered around the patient’s bed.
As one of the staff lights the candles on the cake, and the man cuts the cake.
The people gathered in the place applauds and sings songs.
