Residents in the Bay Area woke up to hazy orange skies on Wednesday, September 9.

The Mars-like atmosphere was caused by the wildfires raging in northern California.

Woke up this morning and it felt like it was still night time. As I went off to my doctors appointment outside it looked like a blood red midnight sky but it was 10am. This was shot in the sunset district of San Francisco

Driving in the twin peaks area of San Francisco today around 1pm the sky was blood orange from all the California wildfires.
