Topless Extinction Rebellion activists were hauled away by police in London on Thursday (September 10) after padlocking themselves to the gates of the UK Parliament on the final day of the group's days-long climate-change protest.

The protesters used bicycle locks to attach themselves to the gates.

"It didn't take too long for the police to cut through the locks using an angle grinder," Newsflare's filmer said. "Then, as the topless protesters were arrested, they were applauded by the crowds as each one was being carried away to waiting police vans."

Around 20 protesters were thought to be hauled away.
