Tarantula hawk comes out on top in brutal showdown with huge spider
A man while on a run in Tuscon, Arizona managed to capture close up footage of a brutal battle between a large tarantula and a tarantula hawk.
Devyn manages to get extremely close to the action as the wasp circles the struggling spider before repeatedly stinging it.
The tarantula hawk ultimately wins the showdown as the spider is seen lying still on its back as the wasp recovers.
A female tarantula hawk paralyzes its prey with its sting before dragging it to a burrow where it then lays an insect inside the body. The egg will then hatch inside of the spider and will feed on the body, avoiding vital organs.
