This is one of the unique handicraft works displayed in the gallery of the cultural park of West Sumatra province, which is based in the city of Padang, which is a replica of Covid-19.

This replica which has a diameter of approximately one meter is the work of an art lecturer from Padang Panjang city who is currently being entrusted to this cultural park art gallery.

The hani gallery officer said "the replica was created by the maker for one week which spent hundreds of used bottles, thousands of pins, knitted with colorful woven threads that made the replica appear visible".

"Besides this replica, a statue was also made wearing a face shield and a smaller red Covid-19 replica."

Both crafts were made in the form of community outreach in order to maintain health protocols in the pandemic mass in Indonesia where cases were found to be increasing.

One gallery visitor, Nanda said "this replica doesn't look so pretty that a view of Covid-19 doesn't make up for anything constructive."
