The National Education Health and Allied Workers Union (NEHAWU, held a press briefing after a special meeting of its National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting in Cape Town.

The press briefing was addressed by Zola Sapheta, the General-Secretary of NEHAWU. The union is largest public sector and health worker union in the country. NEHAWU is an affiliate of COSATU, the largest trade union federation in the country.

In response to a question from Enca journalist Lindsay Dentlinger, about where government would find the money to fund the wage demands by the union, Sapheta said the government had the money in treasury and could find the money if they suspended looting and stealing.

Sapheta also stated that at a recent ANC NEC meeting, the ruling party argued about who is eating more than who.
