The city of Sierra Madre declared a state of emergency on Sunday, Sept. 13, as the Bobcat fire threatened homes in the area, prompting an evacuation order for residents living near the border shared by Arcadia and Sierra Madre (CA, USA).
The interim chief explained fire resources were stretched thin, given the size, scope and number of fires that were burning across the entire western United States right now.
