Speeding taxi crashes into vehicle in southern India
A speeding taxi crashed into a vehicle parked by the sidewalk in the south Indian state of Tamil Nadu on September 13.
The incident took place in Hasthampatti in Salem.
The CCTV footage shows allegedly drunk taxi driver losing control of the vehicle and slamming into a car parked nearby.
A motorcycle parked near the car was also tossed to the ground owing to the impact.
According to the reports, the locals apprehended the driver, identified as Manikandan, and handed him over to the cops.
Reports suggest the taxi driver was returning home after having some drinks.
A case has been registered against him.
No casualties have been reported after the incident.
