Japan: Woman Injured After Curling Iron Explodes In Her Backpack On Yamanote-Line Train
A fire suddenly broke out from a passenger's backpack on the JR Yamanote Line, a railway loop line in Tokyo on Wednesday, September 16 morning, and passengers in the train evacuated temporarily to the platform of the station.
According to the Tokyo Metropolitan Department and Tokyo Fire Department, it was believed that the fire broke out from the battery of the curling iron inside the bag of a woman, and they are investigating the details.
