Members of the South Sulawesi Regional Police distributed food parcels to those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Footage filmed on September 17 in Makassar shows police officers distributing food aid boxes to residents.

Members of the South Sulawesi Regional Police Traffic Directorate, provided assistance to residents and workers affected by Covid-19 in a number of locations in Makassar City, Indonesia on Jalan AP Pettaran, Thursday, September 17, 2020. Dozens of aid boxes were provided while socializing the importance of wearing masks and keep your distance.

The assistance provided was in the form of food and staples for daily needs. This assistance was provided by the Director of the Traffic Directorate at Polda Sulsel, Kombes Pol Frans Sentoe.

"We provide this social assistance to the community, especially public transportation drivers, and workers to be able to meet their daily needs during the Covid-19 pandemic," said Kombes Pol Frans Sentoe. (*)
