An aggressive cobra was found hiding amongst a stack of tiles at a shop in western India's Ahmednagar.

Akash Jadhav from the Animal Rescue Society arrived at the scene and teased the snake out with a stick before catching the reptile.

Jadhav said: "It was a pleasure to see a fully grown adult cobra. We released it at a safe natural habitat the same night."

A worker at a tiles shop near Ahmednagar in western India saw a snake and called Animal Rescue Society for help on September 8.

Akash Jadhav and team went to the spot to rescue the snake. As he removed the pile of tiles, a huge cobra revealed itself.

The snake had gone looking for prey and made itself home amid the tiles. Akash teased it out with a snake stick and though the cobra tried to hiss and scare him away, he caught it easily.

Akash said: “It was a pleasure to see a fully grown adult cobra. We released it at a safe natural habitat the same night.”
