Typhoon Noul caused floods in Khon Kaen province, northern Thailand, today (September 19th).

The storm slammed into Vietnam's central coast on Friday before moving into Laos and Thailand.

Strongs winds blew over trees and heavy rain battered the country causing severe floods.

Many residents in Khon Kaen, one of the worst affected parts of the country, fled their flooded homes and took shelter on higher ground.

Rescue teams were wading through the deluge today to deliver relief supplies to those affected.

The tropical depression continued westwards through Thailand bringing rain in the capital Bangkok.

Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha this morning asked officials to be ''efficient'' in attending to any emergency calls. While the country's meteorological department warned residents to stay on ''high alert'' as Typhoon Noul passes.
