Man rescued from under debris after building collapse in western India

20 people have died while 20 have sustained injuries as a result of a building collapse in western India's Maharashtra.

The three-storey building collapsed on September 21 in Bhiwandi.

Visuals from the ongoing rescue operation show a man being rescued from under the debris.

He can be seen in a state of confusion having suffered injuries.

Eight among the dead are children ageing between two and fourteen years.

As per the officials of Bhiwandi Nizampur City Municipal Corporation (BNCMC), at least twenty more people are still trapped under the rubble.

The injured are being rushed to the Indira Gandhi Memorial (IGM) hospital in Bhiwandi.
