Nottingham City Council community safety officers were forced to manage crowds on Monday night (September 22) after dozens of student freshers descended upon city bar, Bierkeller, which was hosting a zoo themed fancy dress night for students at the University of Nottingham.

Club-goers have until Thursday (September 24) to enjoy late nights out before Boris Johnson forces a 10 pm curfew on bars and restaurants in England.

Nottingham city council community safety officers were forced to step in and manage crowds on Monday night (21/09/2020) after dozens of student freshers descended upon a city bar (Bierkeller) which was hosting a zoo themed fancy dress night for University of Nottingham students.

Officers showed concern for the lack of social distancing being practiced and were questioning individuals and groups on how many were in their group in bid to enforce the rule of 6.

Students have until Thursday 24th September to enjoy late nights out before Boris Johnson forces a 10pm curfew on bars in England to try and stem the recent spikes in coronavirus cases.
