Dina Mahardika, also known as "Bang Dina," an art craftsman from Indonesia, makes various unique crafts using different kinds of animal skins.

His controversial handicrafts include key chains and bags made from monitor lizard skin, horse skin, buffalo skin, and stingray skin.

In footage from inside his home in Makassar in South Sulawesi Province, on Tuesday (September 22), Mahardika explained that he's been doing this since 2010.

"I learned from my grandmother and my father. My father was a sculpture artist, and my grandfather was a leather artist. But skin is different. I use extreme animal skins.

"I started in 2010, making works from monitor lizard skin. At first, I used goatskin, but now I use monitor lizards. Initially, it was just a bag and wallet, but now there are key chains, ashtrays, belts, hats, and phone cases made from monitor lizard skin," said Mahardika.
