Autumn is bringing beautiful scenery to parts of China.

Impressive drone footage captures vibrantly coloured terraced rice fields in Hunan Province, in the country's south.

The picturesque scene was captured in Xupu County on September 15. Xupu County is a major producer of grain.

According to China's Xinhua News Agency, despite floods, China's summer grain output reached a historic high of 142.81 million tonnes this year, up 0.9 percent from last year. Autumn grain crops account for the bulk of China's grain production, Xinhua reports.

金秋时节，稻花飘香，怀化洪江市雪峰山苏宝顶美景缤纷，层层叠叠的千亩梯田一片金黄，蜿蜒盘旋的线条一层层从山脚盘绕至山顶，云雾缭绕间，梯田连绵起伏，构成一幅美丽的田园画卷，如诗如画。（视频由湖南台提供）
