The UK government has issued a ban on different households meeting in the north of England in a bid to get a grip on the rising number of coronavirus cases.

The government announced that it will be illegal to meet indoors in the Liverpool City Region, Warrington, Hartlepool and Middlesbrough from Saturday.

A 10pm curfew is already in place nationwide on pubs and restaurants. Video seen here from Liverpool city centre shows revellers piling out into the streets last Monday (September 26) after 10pm, singing and dancing and ignoring social distancing rules.
